EXPERIENCE

McNeilus Language School, Prague, Czech Republic

August 2003 – July 2004

Volunteer English Teacher

Taught English as a second language as a volunteer in Prague, Czech Republic.  Worked with a team of 23 teachers from various backgrounds and nationalities.

Feather River Hospital, Paradise, CA

May 2003 – August 2003

IT Support Technician

Worked with the IT team to support and install new PC systems throughout the facility.  Assisted users with various problems with network access, data loss, phone problems, etc.

Masterwork Electronics, Rohnert Park, CA

April 2001 - July 2002

Sr. Process Engineer

Led a small group of people to develop and refine manufacturing processes for production areas for a 100+ employee facility which included: Surface Mount, Wave Soldering, Program Management, ECO systems, BOM handling, and Document Control. Reviewed Gerber files for completeness and accuracy before fabrication of boards. Investigated manufacturing issues with components and PCB boards as needed. Maintained the HP3070 ICT machine and worked with vendors to develop and maintain the test fixtures. Acted as the technical interface between the customers and the program managers. Issued reports to customers as requested concerning manufacturing issues and costs.

Masterwork Electronics, Rohnert Park, CA

July 2000 - April 2001

Embedded Systems Engineer

Modified the designs of various embedded systems implemented using the Motorola HC11 microprocessor. Interacted with the customers to establish and implement the requested specifications and changes to existing products. Worked with OrCad schematic capture and Protel PCB Layout tools to modify current designs as requested. Worked with the PCB fabrication houses while prototyping the projects while researching and purchasing the components required for the modifications. Modified existing C/Assembly code to implement customer requested changes. Most work involved D/A and A/D converters, RAM, ROM (EPROM/EEPROM), micro-controllers, LED segment displays, number pads, motor control and power supply circuitry.
